About Amy

Amy Cummings is a strength and conditioning specialist certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She earned her bachelors degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in Nutrition from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches Texas. Amy worked for and assisted the head strength and conditioning coach for all athletic programs at SFA under Dan Eason. She worked at SFA from 2000-2003, then moved on to work at Woodcreek Fitness Center in Tyler Texas.

Then she relocated in Roswell Georgia to work for Fitness Together as a personal trainer. Later she started her own fitness company, Lone Star Fitness. Combined she has 7 years experience in the training world. She started out young being competitive in numerous athletic events from gymnastics to triathlons and everything in-between.

Amy is passionate about helping others get in the best shape of their lives by following a fitness program and making the nessacrey lifestyle changes needed to reach those goals. She knows what it takes to stay in shape by maintaining a healthy balance of eating right, strength training and conditioning, flexibility and core training, and spiritual dependence on God.
